YOP - Summers End Mandala

I managed to find some time to get Part 12 done on my Summers End mandala madness piece.
The edges are curling up a bit, but I'm told this will be rectified with the next additions.
Part 12 is the white and peach edge - rows 77 to 82.

It's Sunday

  8. Amazing work! Beautiful colors and what hook size do you use? Is it thread? The mandalas I see being made are like masterpieces! Congratulations!

    1. Thank you Sam. I'm using a 1.25 hook with #10 & #12 perle cotton and some #20 mercerized crochet thread. I like the different textures I get when using different thicknesses of thread.

  9. Oh, it's beautiful, Cyra. I love this in the soft colors you're using. I, too, am curious what you're using (thread, or small yarn?), and the size you anticipate it being.

    1. Thank you Becki, 1.25 hook and a variety of threads (#10, #12 #20). It's approx. 26" now, and I anticipate it growing about another 6 to 12 inches.

  11. Wow, beautiful! Will you be making it into a blanket? Or will it just be a round blanket? I love the colors you are using and how they are painting a beautiful work of art.

    1. Thank you Donna. It is made with crochet cotton thread and will be a round table cloth for my 'special' round walnut dining table.

  17. Yet another great addition Cyra - it's looking so amazing. I, for one, am going to be sad when you finish this because it's been so much fun to watch it grow and wonder what the next addition might be.

    1. Thank you MA. I might have to start another one in a completely different colour scheme haha. It has been a very interesting process, not knowing what the next Part will look like. But I'm a couple of weeks behind at the moment (it's a LOT of work each week). Hope to catch up soon though, as the very last final part is published this Thursday.
